The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Review Anyone who thinks that the adaptation of the soundtrack's best-seller Stephen Covey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, is a shortcut to reading the book has another thing coming. In anticipation, the film is worth each of its 90 minutes as a substitute for the original, does that leave you wishing for the rest. There's a reason 7 Habits has sold more than 5 million copies and translated into 32 languages. Serious work has obviously been accomplished, and be

This review is from: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Unabridged Audio Program) (DVD) This patch is for people who already know that the book is valuable and are now trying to choose the audio version of "The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People "would be more useful for themselves or people they know. I recently bought three different versions of the audio CD (with some copies of the book) as gifts for people with different personalities and learning styles. I am also familiar with some older products.
The proceeds of this page is a full audio CD of the 15th anniversary edition of the book.
It would be ideal for people who are ready for a personal plan to study and apply the principles in the book of their own lives, but need a little punch of "extra". I suggest listening to the CD before or during consideration of the relevant parts of the room, alone or with someone else. The voice of calm and encourage genuine that the author gives an extra dimension to the text – allows you to stay focused. Regularly scheduled meetings to discuss or debate may be short, since each CD is divided into several tracks that follow the key positions and subheadings in the book. This CD book shows how the book was written, as the text flows naturally when read by the author.
This could be a 5-star product for people who intend to use in conjunction with the book and after reading the book. Probably not the best stand-alone learning tool for most people – the book is. It may be good for those who have more time to listen (about 14 hours on 13 discs) for reading and are good at learning by ear. The discs come with a small guide to "study" brochure, which I think has been created for audio products before. The booklet is good for review, but seeing the diagrams in the printed book is most useful if you're reading along with the audio version. I found the music occasionally introduced in the audio program a little embarrassing, but reading the author's interesting.
The entire book is available for download audio (suitable for iPod, etc.) with a running time slightly shorter (less than 13 hours) in the list. I do not know how it compares to the usefulness of the CD discussed here.
Audio I heard, I consider as "5 stars" as a stand-alone learning tool (be it individuals or groups to listen to small) is the 3-Disc "book Audio CD "(circa 2001 -2002), who said," taught by the author "on the cover instead of" Unabridged, read by the author. However, it is actually a "talking books". This book presents information in a seminar or lecture class, with comments from people about how the principles they have applied some in their own lives. The importance of trust in business relationships and seem to have more emphasis on this audio product. Runtime is approximately 3 hours, 20 minutes.
This is probably the audio product very useful for people who do not read much, but is also in the book without following too closely. Supplied with a practical guide for small study summarizing the "7 Habits", which includes some of the diagrams in the book. The booklet is useful as a summary, even if you have the book. I think this product is more suited to situations of non-optimal hearing (in the car, etc.) that is full of 13 discs, audio book, which, like the printed book seems to be a quiet place where you can spend their attention.
Each CD in the 3 discs are divided into short one or two runs a minute (sometimes several tracks in a single article segment) so you can easily pause for reflection or discussion. The divisions between the short tracks are not obvious as you listen. Some critics have noticed differences in the volume of questions between the text and the short musical "bumpers" between songs. This bothered me a bit in one of the CD I listened. You can try to dismiss the acute or decrease the volume and move further from the machine if the relative intensity of the music that bothers you.
Simon & Schuster the CD version (copyright 1999), age, Simon & Schuster Audio tape product as they should not be classified as an audiobook. In his time, the soundtrack version was very well designed, clear image of the original work with states to launch a narrator, then, explanations and examples of Dr. Covey their professional seminars. The version of the band was more useful than the motivation to read and think more deeply about the book and not as a tool for independent learning. It was a success when the book was a sensation. Simon & Schuster, has dropped the ball when you insert the CD on a single track about 72 minutes. As there are several tracks that lack of this CD, cassette version older May be more useful for people who want a brief overview of the audio. Otherwise, be prepared to hear the entire CD in one session. Now, you can not find this product at Amazon, but I see a new, more expensive 1-CD product called "15th Anniversary Edition", the publication date of 2005. The product information indicates that the publisher Simon & Schuster, but the image says FranklinCovey. It may be a new version of the original audio tapes. I want to check if multiple tracks were added before buying.
I realize that FranklinCovey out with a "new Signature Series" CD in a CD is devoted to each of the "7 habits". I am not familiar with this product. The CDs are sold together or individually. Some other audio versions and spin-off products have been introduced over the years. I much prefer products that present information in an organized manner, which presents the thoughts of seemingly random reasons (such as "reflections" on the 7 Habits, cards, calendars, etc..) Many spin-off products that would much less value than the original book for most people.
