Currently I am about to enter a community college to get my AA and then transferred to college and graduate studies.
During the private secondary school to study philosophy, sociology, psychology, entrepreneurship and economics. In general, my interest was the analysis of the individual, society and ultimately how it might be a better grip. I have always tried to encourage my classes by encouraging them to give their opinion on various social issues and individual choices.
Currently, which of course is likely to change the maturity, I do not intend to organize a course chosen by long periods of time. I want to be a social entrepreneur in his heart, which affect the change of working methods. The university is to improve my skills and life as a whole, not for the benefit of the business or as collateral so they can work forty years before retirement. I want to have the flexibility to pursue my own interests, which May be non-profit organizations, NGOs, companies, etc.
I'm not so interested in issues of race and poverty in America, many students appear to Sociology. I do not want to take the majority of classes that do not relate to what I do. I am more interested in globalization, the economies of foreign countries (or local, are not yet sure), politics, etc. If anyone has read The Drifters by James A. Michener, the narrator (forgot the name) is exactly the kind of thing is to love.
So I think in sociology with a specialization in economics could be good, or vice versa. Although specialization in economics, in my opinion, it would be tedious very quickly. I like philosophy, but I do not see this as a good career, I will have to continue to study at the mine.
